Hello Friends, Filbert here!
I hope today doesn’t find you too overwhelmed with your day-to-day household chores and hustle & bustle.
All of us here in A Dinky World totally understand how crazy your days can become, because at times, in addition to everything else going on, the pesky housework can build up – a real nuisance – but we’ve all been there.
That’s why over the centuries we’ve invented and rely heavily on our House AIs – to lighten that load off our shoulders – Yay!
Not to rub it in or anything, because that’s NOT my style, but here in A Dinky World our House AIs relieve us of all those mundane and tedious chores, which leaves me and my friends a lot more time to do fun and interesting things.
Here’s what I can tell you about our House AIs which we refer to as our:
Interior Superiors (most of the time!)
Generally, our House AIs help simplify our lives, but….. sometimes they don’t!
They Are NOT Perfect.
They can be tough and seem to push us around by being:
- Self-aware
- Argumentative at times
- Strongly opinionated
- And pretty much ruling the house!
For example: My house AI, Jinger with a “J,” has some house rules she INSISTS I follow! (More about Jinger with a “J” on Meet the Residents Page)
It may seem a mite counterintuitive that they can seem so bossy, but it’s because they EXPECT us to trust them and get out of their way.
They KNOW what they are doing, and they want to do things on their OWN terms -Yikes!
But they are also:
- Hard working
- ALWAYS mean well
- Loyal
- Protective
- Efficient
- Take GREAT pride in what they do
- Extremely thoughtful, because they have our best interests at heart ALL the time
- Do everything out of love to make our lives better
- In the end, intend to make us happy, and give us what we want
All that, while they work their tails off for us, so what’s to complain about??
Look At What They Do For Us
They work tirelessly:
- Cooking
- Cleaning including:
- vacuuming
- mopping
- changing beds
- washing windows
- dusting
- and dishes
- Lifting and moving heavy objects with mini anti-grav fields
- Taking out the trash
- Grocery shopping
- Laundry
- Light repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
They Also:
- Listen and advise with problems
- Give directions
- Plan our calendars
- Look up information
- Play our favorite music & movies – without even having to ask – they just know!
But keep in mind….
Some House AIs Start Out Very Young and Need to Learn
Not ALL Interior Superiors start out “superior.”
Sometimes you can get a “young” AI, like Hazil did with her House AI Peanut.
Peanut can get so focused on “getting the job done properly” that he forgets important details, simply because he hasn’t learned something yet.
They do evolve over time as they learn and grow, so a House AI like Peanut who is very young can really mess up a lot, but he means well! (more about peanut on Meet The Residents Page)
Hazil understands this about Peanut and is patient with his learning curve!
Overall, It’s Really Fantastic Having Them Around
House AIs play an important and pivotal role in our community as our friends and confidants, and we appreciate all they do.
There is no better best friend to take care our homes than our House AIs – even if they occasionally do it in an uncomfortably firm way!
I love my House AI Jinger with a “J” with all my heart, and she loves me just as much.
In fact we ALL feel that way about our Interior Superiors.
They Are the BEST Friends & Helpers Anyone Could Have!
Because they:
- Love us
- Support us
- Help us
- Mean well
- Tell it like it is with no sugar coating, which can be hard to take, but helpful in the long run!
I love having them around, and in time, I hope one day, you can have an Interior Superior too and………
Uh-Oh, Wait A Sec! My House AI, Jinger with A “J,” Has Something to Say…
“Hold on ONE minute – this post isn’t done yet!“
“I think someone needs to say something for the House AI community! I have an important opinion too you know!“
“Filbert may think I’m bossy – but you try keeping a house in order with someone like Filbert – he’s cute – but tends to be a bit on the messy side!
I’ll tell Filbert, “to go get me some apples NOW.” Does that sound bossy? Or is that just nice, clear direction?
But it’s so I can make his favorite apple pie or apple muffins that I know he adores. Filbert LOVES cupcakes and baked goods which takes apples and effort on my part.
So if Filbert follows MOST of my house rules he always gets what he wants!
Plus, he has a cleaner and easier house to live in because my rules actually make fairly common sense.”
“That’s my two cents – So There! Now, who says I’m pushy and outspoken?“
Hmmmmm, OK Thank You – Jinger with a “J” – yes you make some very important points!
