Hi! What a great day it is, because I get an opportunity to chat with you again, and share a few more insights!

Basically, the reason why I’m here, and love A Dinky World, is that for more than 25 years, my goal has been to help brighten and give a lift to people’s lives & businesses.

I’ve done this by being a professional artist, marketer, published comic strip artist and author. (more on Meet Hilary page)

It’s always been of utmost importance to me to try and use my talents, sense of humor, and perspective of the world to improve the lives of others, even if it’s in the smallest way possible such as:

• Branding for clients to help build up their businesses and bottom lines
• An illustrated story to bring a laugh or two
• A cute character that can evoke an emotion with a certain pose or expression
• Or create a product, or piece of artwork, that makes people smile and be a bit happier, just by looking at it or using it, as some of my old client artwork shows:

I’ve always had this outlook on life, and in A Dinky World I’ve made sure……

The Message is all about:

• Upliftment
• Acceptance
• Kindness
• Understanding
• Love
• Helping one another
• Humor and FUN
• Welcoming Friendship
• Sense of Community

These basic, positive ideals are what have formed:

The Vision for A Dinky World

This vision has formed a society whose lives, and day-to-day activities, revolve around the above ideals.

A Dinky World is not perfect, there are plenty of mistakes and things going wrong.

That said, the residents: Filbert, Hazil, Basil, Leo, and Mr. Biscuits have learned that by helping one another with love, kindness and understanding, everything is manageable. (more on Meet the Residents and The Dinky Way Pages)

It’s a society that concentrates on making the MOST out of every moment, and they understand that doing simple things like:

• Watching a rainbow
• Having a picnic with friends
• Or giving a gift for no reason

Are actually more important than “important” things going on in life!

Life in A Dinky World is about having and spreading joy in as many ways as possible.

At It’s Core, A Dinky World Speaks to Something in All of Us:

• A need for caring and kindhearted understanding, a safe community, and trusting relationships
• To have faithful friends, a sense of belonging, and to do helpful things for others, even if it’s only a bright happy look and a wave “hello,” to a stranger passing by

In The End, It’s About Improving Your Day

When all is said and done, if you’re more relaxed, or in a cheerier frame of mind from reading the stories, or using the art & products on this site, then I’m totally fulfilled – my mission has been accomplished!
